Sustrans

By MJ Mac

After spending a few hours riding parts of the West Thurrock cycle network with David Fish, I became aware of how important this voluntary job is. Thurrock has around 12 rangers that all take part in various ranger rides throughout the year, they report their findings to the council and attend various cycle forum meetings.

Summer is particularly busy with the the greenery ever extending into the paths. Brambles, black berry bushes, apple trees, we trimmed them all back today! After the ride I managed to capture a quick interview with David, a Sustrans Volunteer Ranger for Thurrock.
