Thurrock Lions Support Little Havens
Thurrock Lions were a leading supporter for the Little Havens Fun Day last Saturday, having organised a variety of fundraising activities for the event.
Dominic Cox, a member of the Thurrock Lions society, took the time to speak to YourThurrock about these activities and promote his next sponsored event. Fingers crossed we can help Dominic find the support he needs to complete his latest and greatest challenge!
On Saturday 22nd August, hundreds of people flocked to Wouldham Cliff’s Green in Chafford Hundred to indulge in day of family fun, all in aid of Little Havens Children’s Hospice.
Visitors were treated to a variety of attractions which included face painting, football, karaoke, bouncy castle, fun fair rides, a tent pitching competition, raffles, beauty treatments and a variety of traditional fete stalls.
Organiser, Elaine Cox, was overwhelmed by the amount of people who came along to support the fun day. Elaine’s son, Charlie, has used Little Havens’ services for 11 years, and she was incredibly proud and grateful to everyone for supporting such an important event.
On behalf of YourThurrock, I want to thank and congratulate Elaine and everyone involved in the fun day for organising such an impressively successful event. We will look forward to the next one!
