The Chafford team were clearly delighted with the GCSE results for 2009. The school continues to be on an upward curve. It is just one of those institutions that knows where it is going.
The remarkable thing about the results this year: (Key figure: 5 A to C’s including English and Maths 65%, a rise of 6%) is that the group had a below national average at Key Stage Two when they entered the school.
With the 5 A to C’s result standing at 92% ( a rise 12%), the school deserves all the plaudits its receives.
Before the pupils came, YourThurrock spoke to Head Chris Tomlinson about the achievements of the school.
