Back in July at The Orsett Fun Day yourthurrock discovered a fabulous young talent by the name of Georgia Strand. Having just read what I wrote then I can only say that after filming her again, this weekend at the nearby Havering Show, she has evolved even further in those short summer months. Her music screams maturity way above her very young age, her songwriting is strong and her voice hauntingly melodic.
Its difficult to trace her influences although she mentions The Boss and Billy Bragg, perhaps there’s a touch of Lilly Allen in there but this is original intelligent work.
Watch this film closely. It portrays a talent in the making . yourthurrock will closely follow Georgia and log her progression. She need to be seriously noticed ,lets hope its soon.
