On 1st September Belhus Chase School in Aveley became Ormiston Park Academy. One of the main reasons behind this decision is to give the young people in the far west of Thurrock the chance to have a purpose-built education facility closer to their homes.
Andy Smith, Councillor for West Thurrock and South Stifford, is far from happy with the choice of site for the Academy and took time out from his busy schedule to talk to us and tell us why.
