West Ham Legend Julian Dicks has been appointed manager of Grays Athletic. He has signed a 2 year contract and officially takes over today.
Julian was interviewed along with 9 others at the Marriot Hotel last week and was called back for further interview yesterday.
Julian joins old team mate John Moncur , Former Spurs manager Peter Shreeves and Andy Swallow
No decision has been made as to who the supporting assistants will be although we understand John Yems will be interviewing. Whether Gary Phillips will be retained as goalkeeping coach remains uncertain.
Julian retired from football at the age of 29 and moved to Spain and he qualified as a professional golfer. But a persistent knee injury kept him from the golf course and he returned to his first managerial club Wivenhoe. He managed Wivenhoe until June.
Mike Jones went along to the Academy at Loughton and spoke to Julian.
