Over 200 excited students at Palmer’s College snapped up free tickets to see live hip hop and beat boxing in action last week.
‘Theatre Is…’ came to the College to raise the awareness of a series of dance workshops running in Thurrock as well as giving Palmer’s students the opportunity to perform in a live performance at Thameside Theatre, Grays.
Mark Vinall, Principal of Palmer’s College said: “It was a pleasure inviting ‘Theatre Is…’ on campus. The performers were sensational and provided a great snap shot of what our students could gain through attending the dance workshops taking place across Thurrock.”
The 30 minute presentation gave students a flavour of what hip hop, beat boxing, rapping and dance involved. The show had all the students on their feet, clapping along to students showcasing their talents to the pro’s.
Students from the BTEC Performing Arts marketed the event to students on campus with the help of the College’s Marketing team using flyers, posters, Twitter and Facebook feeds.
As they forgot to invite YourThurrock, below is a film of Theatre Is working with Gateway Academy students earlier in the year.
