LAST OCTOBER, Siya spoke at Thurrock Council’s Black History month. It was a fascinating speech. We always wanted to catch up with him as his life during the apartheid years were a fascinating insight to a key part of twentieth century history.
Siya is an inspirational figure with a calm and inner belief that must have served him well at the hands of the feared South African police. He has cried freedom and he was victorious.
