SOUTH BASILDON and East Thurrock MP, Angela Smith has been asked by auditor Sir Thomas Legg to check one of her expenses claims.
A spokesman for Angela Smith said Legg, who is reviewing expenses claims made by MPs since 2004, had queried a claim made by Smith but had not asked her to repay anything as yet.
The spokesman declined to reveal what the queried claim was for.
