Finally, after long months of rehearsal, the latest offering from Thurrock Courts Players opens tonight at the Thameside Theatre. And this is ambitious.
It’s not everybody’s cup of tea but director Jill Snelling is positive that the gamble will pay off and lovers of the Terry Pratchett Discworld series will come to see Wyrd Sisters.
This play is not without its difficulties and it’s a play within a play very loosely based on Shakespeare’s” Scottish Play”.
There’s a lot of business for the technicians with heavy use of lighting and explosions and dry ice. The cast were just going through the dreaded dress rehearsal when yourthurrock popped in to check on progress.
A full review will appear here tomorrow
Wyrd Sisters runs at the Thameside Theatre from tonight until October 17th. Tickets available at the door
