CORRINGHAM councillor Danny Nicklen was a runaway winner at the Ockendon School Local Democracy Day.

Some students had him down with a perfect 50/50 and he certainly did work the room with affability and charm as well as concrete answers to some very difficult questions.

YourThurrock spoke to the students to gauge their assessment of the day.
