OF all the proposals in the £8 million worth of cuts it is interesting that Labour Leader Cllr John Kent picked one, tucked away in the middle of the 125 page document.
There is a proposal to replace some qualified social worker posts with unqualified family support workers.
John Kent certainly believes this is serious as well as many other proposed job cuts he discusses in this interview.
Of course, Labour can disagree all they like.
On December 8th, the vote will go like this:
23 Cons for the Budget
23 Lab against.
Which leaves the two Independent councillors from Tilbury and the BNP member for Tilbury.
If you want to find a battleground, it could well be East Tilbury.
