Appeal for Callum

Callum Branch is 6 years old and has cerebral palsy. Callum had a tough start to life, he was born 14 weeks premature and was very lucky to have survived his first night. He proved the doctors all wrong and pulled through and after spending 11 weeks in hospital he was allowed to come home.

Callum is such a bright and happy boy the only thing that stops him from leading a normal life is his legs and the fact that he’s in a wheelchair. Callum has been accepted to have an operation in America, called Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, which will get rid of the stiffness in his legs and give him the chance to walk. This operation has a 100% success rate and they feel that within time and a lot of hard work on Callum’s part he should be able to walk independently in the future. This would be a life changing operation for him and at last he would be able to keep up with his friends and even kick a football around.

We need your help to raise £40,000 for us to be able to take Callum over to America for one month to enable him to have this operation.

The aim is to find 40,000 people to donate just £1. Callum’s parents are hoping to take him over to America in July next year, in the school summer holidays, so that he won’t miss any school.
