Parking Restrictions in Thurrock

IN an effort to prevent confusion over the festive period, drivers in the borough are reminded that Boxing Day (Saturday, 26 December) is not a Bank Holiday and normal paid for parking in the borough will be enforced.

Due to Boxing Day falling on a Saturday, the Bank Holiday is on Monday, 28 December.

Drivers are also reminded that other restrictions such as double yellow lines, Doctor bays and Disabled bays remain in force “At Any Time ” even during Bank Holidays.

Christmas Day, Monday, 28 December and New Year’s Day will sees no enforcement of paid for parking either on-street or in off-street council-run car parks, however, drivers are reminded to check the arrangements at any private car parks they may use including those at railway stations.

Residents should be aware that cases of vehicles causing obstructions are not matters for the council but should be reported to Essex Police on 0300 333 4444.
