Thurrock Council is once again supporting the Woodland Trust by setting up special Christmas card collection points around the borough.
Although the cards can be placed in residents’ usual blue recycling bins, the Woodland Trust promises to plant one tree for everyone “saved” by recycling the ones they receive.
The special blue bins will be in Thurrock’s libraries, the Civic Offices in New Road, Grays, Asda, Tilbury and the Ikea store at Lakeside from 29 December until 17 January.
