IT NOW seems to go without saying that there is a huge amount of talent springing out from the borough of Thurrock.
Former Torrell’s student Joseph Bull has been making quite a name for himself through his documentary work.
His work Isolation has played at many of the major film festivals including Edinburgh last year.
The film revolves around the fact that a quarter of British ex-soldiers sleep rough when they return home.
It is “an impressionistic portrait of the emotional and physical aftermath of war”.
Isolation follows photographer and ex-soldier Stuart Griffiths as he travels across England uncovering the stories behind the military statistics.
It is described as a bold documentary that explores the personal demons and uncertain futures faced by soldiers leaving the army.
We will be interviewing Joe soon but for now here are highlights of the film.
