Thurrock-based small and medium sized companies are being offered training on innovative ways to save money.
Knowledge Thurrock Innovation Associates (KTIA) is offering the free training at an interactive workshop in Grays during February.
Cllr Garry Hague, Leader of Thurrock Council and the portfolio holder for Business and Environmental Planning, said: “In these difficult economic times, a key driver for survival is the need for businesses to reduce costs and save money.
“KTIA’s Save Money by Carbon Foot-printing workshop will show companies how they can save money and the environment by understanding the inter-relationship between carbon equivalent emissions reduction, resource efficiency measures, and investment.”
“The workshops, which are supported by East of England Development Agency (EEDA) through the European Regional Development Fund, will take place on Thursday, 11 February.
