Grays School and Media Arts College are at the forefront of providing key trade skills to their students. On monday mornings, Year 9 students go to the Tradesmens Entrance on the Globe Industrial Estate in Little Thurrock to take their first steps in learning plastering, bricklaying and a host of other skills.
We spoke to the students about how they enjoyed the course and what they hope to do when they leave school.
This is a great idea and something that the government should look at doing throughout the educational establishments, vocationaly studies should be part of the syllabus, just hope that there are jobs out there for these people who are learning these skills…
