Intergen is proposing to develop a modern gas fired power station within the London Gateway Logistics Park.
The new £600 million development will be able to supply all of the necessary power for the new deep water port as well as export enough electricity to the National Grid to power around one million homes.
Intergen held an Information Day at the Corringham Village Hall to explain the plans and opportunities to the public.
