THE MILLERMEN won through to the semi-finals of the Championship Manager Cup with a hard fought 2 -1 victory at the Mill Field.
It was Sherwen Stanley who they had to thank with a brace on 3 and 84 minutes.
The Gulls were up against it for much of the match, having had Richard Halle sent off in the first half for end to end bookings.
Ironically, the Gulls dominated for long periods of the game but couldn’t break through.
The victory leaves the Millermen with something of a fixture headache with this being the first of nine games in March alone.
It is back to the league, home against Ashford on saturday.
