East Thurrock Councillor Pauline Tolson met with Homesteads Ward resident Mr Alan Saunders to admire the newly completed paving in Gardner Avenue.
In place of the uneven and unsightly cracked paving is a new and brighter paving area which has given this parade a new lease of life.
Retired resident Mr Alan Saunders said “I have worked for the Council as a pavior and I have personally worked on this frontage myself when water problems have presented themselves here.”
Mr Saunders went on to say “I think the team have done a very good job under very difficult conditions.”
Cllr Pauline Tolson said “Visually, this is a vast improvement to this frontage, the parade looks uplifted and more welcoming. Two others residents took the time to stop and tell me how nice it looks. I want every part of the Homesteads Ward to be the best it can be.”
