BEFORE Elvis and before some fairly inane questions by members of the audience, Alastair Campbell spoke for half an hour on a number of political issues.
Mr Campbell began by assessing whether the Tories are doing enough “Political Heavy-lifting” or are they a karaoke version of New Labour circa 1997.
He also feels that the Tories haven’t done enough to distance themselves from the Thatcher years.
He reflects on what influences people politically and makes special reference to social media believing that real opinion can be found on Twitter rather than through traditonal media outlets.
