POLICE are appealing for any witnesses to an incident in Romford Road, Aveley on Friday lunchtime where a driver was threatened by another driver and a hammer thrown at his car.
About 12.30pm, a 33 year old man from Aveley was driving his grey Peugeot 407 estate when the driver of a silver Vauxhall Vectra started to intimidate him and at the roundabout junction with Mill Road a hammer/mallet was thrown, striking the passenger door of the Peugeot, causing damage.
The man police are seeking is described as white, in his 30s, with short, brown hair, stocky build, about 5 ft 6 ins tall and was wearing a grey tracksuit top with a hood.
