Thurrock businesses need to move fast to book a place at a free event aimed at helping them bridge the skills gap in engineering and manufacturing.
Essex FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) has joined forces with Thames Gateway College to run the special networking event on Thursday 18 March 2010 aimed at helping businesses in the Borough develop the skilled workforce they need as we move out of recession.
Essex FSB spokesman for Thurrock, Ross Bannister, said: “This free to attend event is a partnership event between Essex FSB and Thames Gateway College aimed at helping local businesses find out the help that is available to them so they can develop the skills of their workforce.
“Thames Gateway College can offer specific training within the manufacturing and engineering environment in two of the most important skills shortage areas – Leadership and Management and Engineering Maintenance.
“We already have a good number of companies booked to attend this event and would encourage any business involved in engineering and manufacturing which has not yet booked its place to do so fast so they can come along, see what training is available and take this opportunity to network with other local businesses in this sector.”
The event takes place at The Holiday Inn, Brook Street, Brentwood and more details, including how to book, are available at www.fsb.org.uk/essex/events.
