The Royal Opera House is running free creative dance workshops for dancers in Thurrock from Tuesday 13 April until Thursday 15 April at the Thameside Theatre, Orsett Road, Grays. Dancers of all ages from 11 years and above and from all genres of dance are invited to attend.
Each one day workshop is aimed at a different age group: Tuesday 13 April is for 11-14 years, Wednesday 14 April is for 15–17 years and Thursday 15 April is for anyone aged 18 and over. The workshops will include technique classes and creative dance sessions. They will be taught by experienced dancers and tutors from the Royal Opera House and will be challenging and inspiring.
Selected participants from the workshops will be invited to attend a final workshop on Friday 16 April to become part of the High House People’s Opera Dance Company. The High House People’s Opera will open the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop at the Royal Opera House Production Park. The performance will feature a special dance piece performed by the Dance Company.
