Top Tory Endorses Jackie’s Campaign

“IDEALISTIC, committed and dedicated” is how Shadow Minister for Overseas Development Andrew Mitchell described Jackie Doyle-Price as part of a hard day long campaigning in Essex.

Jackie met Andrew along with Colin Rate of Rate’s Ford in Hogg Lane, Grays. Jackie seems to have enjoyed a good week on the campaign trail, looking comfortable, enthused and relaxed.

It helps with heavyweights such as the MP for Sutton Coldfield who first stood for parliament in 1983 helps to bolster the campaign. He firmly believes that Thurrock can return to the Tories for the first time since 1992.

YourThurrock spoke to Mr Mitchell about how the Tories can get the message of the big society and a revitalised economy to the undecided voters in the borough.

  1. All very impressive, but the 46% of the electorate who want a hung parliament cannot afford the Tories to win Thurrock.  They must vote Labour there to block a Tory Commons majority, but neither can they let Labour hang on to a seat like Sth Basildon/E Thurrock which is only no. 31 on the same list.  There they need to back the Tories.
