Conservative Shadow Minister Baroness Sayeeda Warsi visited Grays on Friday to add her support to Jackie Doyle-Price’s campaign to win Thurrock. She enjoyed a walkabout in Grays High Street where she met shoppers and stallholders before meeting local Party workers for coffee.
Jackie said, “I am delighted that Sayeeda has taken the time to visit. Sayeeda has won huge respect for the way she has challenged extremist politics in this country. It was also very fitting that she chose to come on St George’s Day.
“Sayeeda talked about how state multiculturalism has damaged our society by treating different communities as special interest groups. This is no way to build an integrated society – it breeds division.
“This is yet another example of how Labour has failed and yet more evidence that we need change under the conservatives.”
