THERESA Avery is a classic example of citizen empowerment. Yes, the Be Smart team should be out and about cleaning up the borough (and boy have they during the last month!) but shouldn’t it be the responsibility of the citizen to get out there and help.
Theresa gathered a group of people together in the Garrison Estate to pick up litter and clean up the place. Joined by various agencies, Theresa’s group worked long and hard during the day. They may be an example to all the communities in Thurrock.
