FOLLOWING on from the huge success of last year’s T-Fest event, planning for T-Fest 10 is going into overdrive.
Several top acts are already pencilled in for the event on the weekend of 24 and 25 July at Grays Beach Riverside Park and organisers are on the lookout for local groups who might like to share the stage.
Among those stars with a local link are X-Factor’s Stacey Solomon, from Dagenham, and Rachel Adedeji.
As well as local talent on the stage, T-Fest 10 is seeking local businesses, community and voluntary groups who might want to be in The Village area, highlighting their skills and wares, or which might want to co-sponsor the event.
At its height last year, T Fest 09 has an estimated 10,000 people in the crowd over the two days.
This year’s two-day festival has an environmentally-friendly theme and will be as low-carbon as possible.
To help with Thurrock Council’s aim to secure a ten per cent reduction in the borough’s carbon footprint, T-Fest 10 will show visitors the many ways they can reduce their own carbon footprint, save money and help make a difference.
