The Monitoring Officer in Thurrock has called for a full recount as YourThurrock understands that the Tories at the end of the first count have a slim majority of 45.
It appears that the initial majority was 20 but further “mini-recounts” have increased the majority to 45.
The ten hour farce has now adjourned while the Interim Chief Executive decides a “management plan”.
The count is estimated to be returned at 10am.
