One of the main strengths of an organisation like Age Concern is to understand its peoples needs.
Loneliness is a terrible suffrage and Age Concern does what it can to bring people together.
So for a couple of hours yesterday with the help of Park Inn Thurrock 30 Elderly people enjoyed a special coffee morning which also saw a presentation of a cheque from the Thurrock Community Chest. Bruce Vickers from the Community Chest presented the funds to Jackie Rayner from Age Concern.
Park Inn is currently undergoing a 2.3 million pound refurbishment which should be completed soon.
