SOMETIMES those of us who use a computer every day, need to stop and appreciate how daunting everything can be. Here at YourThurrock we can confuse people simply by the fact that our films run on a youtube channel as well as on yourthurrock.
But a collaborative effort between Thurrock Council and the Thurrock Learning Shop has invited “Silver Surfers” to come along and learn the rudiments of computers. You start at whatever level you feel comfortable at. Over twenty-five first time surfers came to the class to understand the rudiments of IT. We spoke to Karen Glazzard about the course and what she hopes it will do for the “new generation” of surfers.
