A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a Grays man died from multiple stab wounds.
YourThurrock revealed, two weeks ago, that the police had discovered the body of 59-year-old Daniel Thomas in a flat in Darnley Road after neighbours became concerned for his welfare.
Scenes of crime officers were at the flat for over a week.
Detectives arrested an 18-year-old woman in Maidstone on suspicion of his murder.
A woman has been released on bail until July.
Last week Thurrock Council confirmed that a resident of the flat was known to social services and in receipt of community care.
A spokesman said: “The safeguarding procedures ensured Thurrock Council was informed of this incident and the council is co-operating with the police investigation.”
