A woman was charged on June 15, 2010 with the murder of a man in Grays.
Police were contacted shortly before 4:30pm on Sunday, May 16 following concerns for the welfare of a man in a flat on Darnley Road, Grays.
Officers arrived and discovered the body of Daniel Thomas. A post-mortem examination showed the provisional cause of death of the 59-year-old man from Darnley Road, Grays to be multiple stab wounds.
On Monday, June 14, Priscilla Scamp was rearrested and subsequently charged with one count of murder. The 18-year-old unemployed woman from Centurion Way in Purfleet has been detained in police custody prior to her appearance at Basildon Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 16.
Two people from the Grays area, a 40-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, were both arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They have been released on police bail until Saturday, August 18 pending further enquiries.
