Motorists who are planning to use the M25 this weekend are warned of possible congestion due to a planned demonstration by motorcyclists.
A ‘Say No To Bike Tax’ protest is due to take place on Saturday, June 19, with several hundred riders expected to travel around the motorway in order to highlight their cause.
They will be refuelling at service stations and are expected to be on the Essex stretch (Junctions 27-31) between 1-3pm.
At this stage, the police don’t know whether the demonstration will cause any significant congestion.
However, the police want people to know so that they can think ahead and identify alternative routes to their destinations.
There will be a police presence to ensure the protest remains legal and there is a continuous flow of traffic.
