AN entertaining pre-season friendly at Rookery Hill on Saturday saw Ryman One North East Thurrock hold their Premier Division visitors report The Enquirer.
East Thurrock created several decent chances but in the main Urchins, who featured striker Martin Touhy in their attack after his surprise release from Braintree on Thursday, held the ascendency and it took several fine reflex saves from Richard Wray to keep them at bay.
Both sides introduced a raft of subs in the closing stages which meant the match ended in a slightly disjointed end to the match but both sides will take plenty to be pleased about from the encounter.
