REGENERATION specialists St Modwen has won outline planning permission for a 650-home redevelopment of the former Ford factory on Arisdale Avenue in South Ockendon.
At a Planning meeting of the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation (DC), the committee heard that the Bellway site nearby was nearing completion.
The St Modwen site would bring 97 one bedroom apartments, 98 two bedroom apartments, 305 three-bedroom houses and 150 four bedroom houses. 10 percent of the dwellings will be social housing.
St Modwen representative Colin Darby informed the meeting that the plans would bring a “new place that would compliment the existing communities.”
