Giffards Praised For Good Ofsted

Stanford councillor Phil Anderson has written to congratulate the headteacher, staff, and governors of Giffards Primary School in Corringham, following the publication of a positive inspection report by OFSTED.

Cllr Anderson said “I’m proud of what had been achieved by the staff and headteacher at Giffards Primary, working alongside the parents, pupils, and governors. This is a real ‘good news’ story for Corringham, and we need to make sure that everyone who has worked so hard for this gets the recognition that they deserve”.

“I was particularly pleased to see that, in spite of the focus that has necessarily been placed on performance in core curriculum subjects, the school has received an ‘outstanding’ rating for the effectiveness of care, guidance and support.

“The caring atmosphere at Giffards has always been a key strength, and it is great to see how this has been preserved and nurtured through the sometimes challenging events of the last few years.

“I know that results like this do not come without an incredible amount of hard work from the staff and everyone involved. I’d like to thank you again for all that you do.”
