IT SEEMS that leading Tory councillor, Rob Gledhill is enjoying the challenge of being in opposition. You get the feeling that the Tories are going through a period of re-alignment. Quietly, they are confident that next May, they can regain power in the chamber. If you look at some of the seats that are up for grabs then they may be right.
In the meantime, Little Thurrock councillor, Rob Gledhill has made it his business to keep the Labour group on its toes. The recent spat regarding the discussion of contracts “in camera” at the end of a Labour Cabinet meeting may not have made much sense. The Tories did it all the time but that perhaps, wasn’t the point. It was keeping the Tories in profile.
YourThurrock caught up with Rob (can you guess it was raining) to discuss the tactics of the Tories between now and next May.

Rob Gledhill playing politics with our services, again. As, Your Thurrock, notes he accuses Labour of doing things wrong that his party did all the time and he also accuses them of asking for the tories advice in how to do things correctly.
He may be quite concerned about the situation but his thinking seems clouded by a lust for power rather than sorting out the dreadful mess our services are in.
The best election winning asset Labour have.
