East Thurrock 2 v 0 Enfield Town

A GOAL in each half proved enough for East Thurrock to move into the top four of the Ryman One North in a sometimes feisty encounter at Rookery Hill on Tuesday evening.

Though less dominant than in their performance at Great Wakering on Saturday, Rocks again enjoyed the lion’s share of possession in the first half, though it took a touch of luck in the shape of a heavily deflected Jimmy Webb free kick for them to take the lead on 29 minutes.

In the second half they missed gilt-edged chances to extend the lead, with the otherwise extremely impressive Kye Ruel and Neil Richmond missing when it seemed easier to score but the duo combined in the last minute to ensure victory when Ruel chased down a lost cause, recovered the ball and laid it into the path of Richmond who made no mistake from close range.
