DAVID KNIGHT’S wonder goal two minutes earned the Millers a Rypman Premier point against a good Concord side.
The first half was a fierce encounter with tackles flying in all over the place, and it ultimately saw Aveley’s Wayne Semanshia and Danny Slatter booked, with Danny Glozier also in the referee’s notepad early on.
Keeper Matt Bennett was in fine form for the hosts as he first denied Rangers, with Tony Stokes firing the rebound wide of the mark from only a few yards out.
On the stroke of half time he came to the rescue again as he saved low down from Marc Sontag’s effort with the midfielder unmarked in the box.
Tempers calmed down in the second half and with the first real chance of the half Concord took a deserved lead as Harry Elmes beat the offside trap before eventually finding Bertie Brayley who dinked a ball across goal ready for centre half Brad Thomas to nod home from close range.
The home side lacked a cutting edge and Rangers blew a decent chance to double their lead as Stokes saw his shot again saved well by Bennett.
And they were made to pay for their missed chances as substitute David Knight curled a fine effort into the top corner from outside the box with Dale Brightly unable to do anything to get near the superb finish.
