Three Cars Smashed In Ockendon

Police are appealing for information after three cars were damaged in South Ockendon.

All three incidents happened between 10pm on Sunday, August 29 and 10am the next day. In Tamarisk Road, Aveley, the windows of a Ford Mondeo and a Ford Fiesta were smashed, causing a total damage of £275. In Derry Avenue, South Ockendon, a BMW also had its window smashed, causing £300 damage.

Insp Richard Baxter said: “This is clearly just mindless vandalism, and we believe that all three damages are linked. No-one should have to pay out money to repair their cars at the hands of vandals, so we are urging anyone that saw this or knows who is responsible to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police at South Ockendon police station on 0300 333 4444 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
