Calling all dancers – Would you like to be in a Professional Pantomime?
The 2010/2011 pantomime at the Thameside Theatre, Grays is Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood starring Sarah Thomas (from Last of the Summer Wine) as The Forest Fairy; Mark Siney as Nurse Glucose & Postman Pat as himself! It runs for 63 performances between Friday 3 December 2010 to Sunday 9 January 2011.
“Fabulous”, “A real family treat”, “Full of pure comedy”, that’s what everyone was saying about Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs last Christmas and what makes things exciting is that you could now be part of this year’s pantomime.
Bruce James Productions and Thurrock Council will be holding auditions on Monday 13 September 2010 at the Thameside Theatre, Grays from 5.30pm. They are looking for two sets of ‘Babes’ and two teams of Juvenile & Intermediate Dancers who will share the wonderful experience of taking part in a professional pantomime. You need to be available from Sunday November 21st 2010 through until the very last performance on Sunday January 9th 2011.
We are looking for:
Babes – Audition Time 5.30pm We need two boys & 2 girls who must be super talented, excellent actors/actresses with good singing voices and able to move well. You must be over 8 years old and under 4’ 9”
Dancers – Audition Time 6.30pm we need two teams of four Juvenile dancers under 4’11” and two teams of Intermediate dancers between 5’ and 5’5”. All dancers need to have Grade 3 or higher in Modern or Ballet and have strong melodic voices.
If you are interested, you are asked to arrive promptly and wear appropriate dancewear and shoes. Parents are welcome to wait in the foyer but will not be allowed in the theatre whilst the audition takes place.
Please make sure you are available between Sunday 21 November 2010 and Sunday 9 January 2011 (inclusive) and that your parents agree to the commitment you are making before you attend.
