Chloe’s Panto Dreams For Grandad

A MUSICAL loving youngster is hoping to win a place in a forthcoming pantomime as a tribute to her grandfather.

Chloe-Louise Driscoll, 12, from Little Burstead, who attended Gable Hall School in Corringham, says she can’t wait for auditions for Aladdin, to be staged at Grays Civic Hall at the end of the year.

The open auditions will take place at the Blackshots venue on Saturday, 25 September.

Winners will get the chance to take to the stage alongside David Van Day, Josh Dubovie, Daniel Fox, Frazer Hines and Sue Moxley.

Chloe-Louise, who has already sampled stage life for more than a year by featuring in the choir of Joseph alongside Lee Meade at the Adelphi Theatre in the West End, is already gearing up for her audition.

“I’ve been singing and dancing since I was about three,” said the youngster who won her place at Gable Hall because of her theatrical talents and is also a junior member of the nearby Performers College.

“The pantomime is supporting St Luke’s Hospice which is somewhere very special to me as they looked after my granddad.

“It would also be good to go on stage with Josh again, I appeared in the same show with him in Southend for Little Havens Hospice.

“I know I will have to prove myself but I really want to make a career in musicals and this would be a wonderful part to win. I’ve been in shows at the Palace Theatre in Southend including Bugsy

Malone and The Whizz so I know just how special it is to be part of a big production.”

The auditions are open to any act from singers to dancers to variety performers, who believe they have talent and ability to entertain the thousands of people expected to see Aladdin this year.

If you are interested in auditioning then you are invited to attend on the 25th.

All acts will be asked to perform to ’Hairspray’s—You Can’t Stop the Beat’ for two to three minutes.
