THURROCK train lines were thrown into chaos on Saturday after a stand-off between a teenager on the lines and the emergency services.
The ambulance service was alerted at 7.18am to a man reported to be near the rail way line near Princess Margaret Road, Tilbury.
An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and manager were sent to the scene.
The 19-year-old was coaxed down from the signal box gantry by officers about midday and left in their care.
