THE FINANCIAL woes that have beset Grays Athletic have been settled after an outstanding tax bill was paid to HM Revenue and Customs.
The club had been set to be wound up today but an eleventh hour payment has averted that.
Club accountant Tony Packer announced on the club’s website that the unpaid tax bill of £67,000.27p was paid yesterday.
He said: “This was the full and final settlement of all outstanding issues left with GAFC 1982 Ltd.
“Todays court hearing is in relationship to the original court case whereby 92 days were set aside for issues to be resolved.”
