At this year’s Campfire Festival, there will be spooky fun for all the family at Grangewaters Outdoor Education Centre, Buckles Lane, South Ockendon, on Saturday, 30 October from 5pm to 8.30 pm.
Grangewaters staff have joined up with Thurrock Libraries to offer a night of not-too-scary activities based around a traditional campfire.
The unique setting around the lake offers a 200 metre zip line for older children, archery for all the family and spooky storytelling in the waterside cabins.
There will also be live music and entertainment on stage with a chance to explore the ‘haunted room’. Hot food and refreshments will be available along with traditional events such as apple bobbing, face painting and mask making.
The fancy dress and pumpkin lantern competitions will be judged at 7pm with prizes for the scariest or most imaginative.
Tickets are only £2 per person payable at the gate.
