From October until January there are several free courses available to help you and change your future.
This is a good opportunity to claim your place in any of the courses put together by Thurrock Council and Shaping Thurrock and funded by the East of England Development Agency.

Heritage Heroes courses
Those that love local history and are keen to share their passion can sign up for one or two different Heritage Heroes courses.
The courses are mostly held at Thurrock Museum, Thameside complex, Orsett Road, Grays and walks during practical sessions will be around two hours long.
Community Action Course
Enjoy talking with members of the community and fancy becoming a community researcher? Then, claim your place on this Level 2 community course.
Choose dates either from 2 to 29 November or 18 January to 15 February,
Tuesdays from 9.30am to 2.30pm at the Beehive, West Street, Grays.
Team Spirit course
Not in education, training or employment and want a fun way to get job-ready? This Level 1 Team Spirit course starting November might just be for you.
It’s on, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 to 25 November at the Community Resource Centre (Old Fire Station), Civic Square, Tilbury. An Introductory session and sign-up for 2012 Games volunteering is on Wednesday 10 November at Thameside complex, Grays.
Personal Best programme
Have you got what it takes to be an Olympics/Paralympics volunteer? The Level 1 programme starts from 17 January to 31 March, on Tuesdays and Thursdays (except half term) at the Community Resource Centre (Old Fire Station), Civic Square, Tilbury, from 9.30am 2.30pm.
