HIV in Thurrock

DON’T die of ignorance was the slogan in the 1980’s. For many people, the mark of ignorance is that they think it is an eighties disease. Some cities were blighted by AIDS, with a city such as Edinburgh having 1 in every 100 males HIV positive.

YourThurrock spoke to Rob Hocknell from the Terrence Higgins Trust to assess what are the challenges for HIV workers in Thurrock and south essex today.
