Former Olympiad Dave Venables will attempt to break a world lifting record this Sunday(21st) and at the same time raise valuable funds for the Little Havens charity.
Dave, who lives in Horndon on the Hill will hope to lift a back breaking 312.kg thats 693lb in old money.
Dave runs the Stanford Weightlifting Club at Cawder Hill farm . The event will take place at the Crooked Billet in Stanford .starting at 6pm. The evening includes disco ,karaoke and a auction.
